Warner Bros is now working on 4 more LEGO themed movies after the huge success of The LEGO Movie. This new spinoff is currently titled Billion Brick Race though there’s few details to go by. The folks behind the first movie, Phil Lord & Chris Miller, will be on hand to help produce the movie. Actor Jason Segal and writer Drew Pearce are also attached to this project.
The other 3 LEGO movies currently in production are LEGO Ninjago for 2016, The LEGO Batman Movie for 2017 & The LEGO Movie 2 for 2018. It looks like we’ll be getting a theatrical LEGO movie every year from now on.
Toys R Us will be having a LEGO Ninjago themed build event this Saturday on March 28th from noon to 2pm. Kids age 5 and up will be able to make and take home LEGO Ninjago Kai or Lloyd mask. These events tend to be popular so make sure to get in line early.
LEGO Jurassic World Raptor Escape (75920) is the final Jurassic World set to be unveiled. It’s a 394 piece set that includes 2 minifigures and 2 raptors with an ATV and a fenced enclosure. This set is likely to be a retailer exclusive but we’re not sure which retailer it is. To see the other sets in this theme, check out our previous post.
Target is discounting all LEGO City, Ninjago, Disney Princess & DUPLO sets from now until March 28th. This is the first time there’s been a good discount on the 2015 LEGO Disney Princess & LEGO Ninjago sets.
If you want the minifigures, make sure to pre-order now or get to your local store at opening. If you’ve ever tried to get previous Target exclusive editions, you know how hard it can be to find a copy on release day. These are in high demand with limited supplies.
If you ever wondered how all the LEGO Elves sets come together, here’s some great images by Brick Previews. They show the complete collection on top of the double-sided LEGO Elves Playmat (851341). For this theme, we must say that the double-sided mat helps enhance the individual sets. Combined together, they make a nice fantasy scenery.
When LEGO The Simpsons Kwik-E-Mart (71016) was officially announced, the designer video wasn’t available with the rest of the details. It’s finally available so you can now watch designer Marcos Bessa describe the details and highlights of the set below. For those keeping track, Marcos was also the lead designer for last year’s LEGO The Simpsons House (71006).

There’s been a lot of speculation recently that LEGO Creator Pet Shop (10218) will be retiring soon. It looks like the official LEGO Shop is the only retailer left that is currently selling it though it’s backordered. Everyone else has taken down their listings or marked it up beyond retail price.
