London Toy Fair 2015 Recap

This year’s London Toy Fair has started so that means there’s lots of news to share. Unfortunately, photography is not allowed so we’ll only have descriptions for now. In about a week, the Numremburg Toy Fair opens up so we should get images then. Thanks to the folks at BrickFanatics and Brickset for covering the event and providing all this information.

LEGO City
2 new City subthemes arrive for the summer based around exploration. Deep Sea Explorers will focus on the ocean and Space Port will focus on outer space. Deep Sea Explorers is similar to the old Divers theme from 1997 and the sets are predominately colored yellow and dark blue. Space Port is targeted at a younger audience so sets are juniorized.

The highlight of this theme will be a new City Square (60097). Buildings include a LEGO Store, coffee shop, police station, garage and hot dog cart. Vehicles incldued are a truck, black and orange tram with it’s own stop plus 14 minifigures.

LEGO Creator
3 more LEGO Creator sets will be introduced in the summer. Changing Seasons (31038) is a small house that comes with parts to decorate for the 4 seasons. Blue Power Jet (31039) will be similar to the Sonic Boom (5892) from 2010 except in blue.

LEGO DC Super Heroes
Jokerland (76035) includes Starfire, Beast Boy, Robin, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Penguin, Joker, Batman minifigures. Batboat Harbor Pursuit (76034) comes with Batman, Robin (new variant) and Deathstroke minifigures.
